Our Little Darling Our Sweetheart!

I was sitting on the rocking chair with Little Darling sitting on my laps, listening to his favorite songs while at the same time he was chi chi cha cha ‘talking’ something that I did not understand. On and off he would look at me puzzled because I did not pat him as I usually will when I hug him sitting on the rocking chair. I said to him ‘Darling, mummy very tired!’ You go play by your own. Let mummy rest a while ok?’ Immediately he lied onto my arms and patted me as if he was trying to comfort me! He was such an understanding sweetheart! He is just a little baby but he can be so heartwarming! He melted my heart and swept away all my fatigue!

Suddenly I heard something sweeter! He called ‘ma ma’… Wow! Finally he called me ma ma….. so happy! I hugged him in my arms and he offered me a wet kiss! Hehe….. Besides calling mama, Little Darling also knows to call mah mah (grandma), jeh jeh (elder sister), sssh---tarr (star), dirt—teee (dirty) and Bardbard (birdbird). :-)

Little Darling's 1st Lunar Birthday

We did not intend to have a celebration on Little Darling’s 1st Lunar Birthday except praying to ancestors and perhaps a simple dinner among family members. But last minute daddy netted a caterer for a buffet. So daddy and mummy arranged a small scale chit-chatting cum eating session this afternoon for family members. And some of mummy’s closed friends were coming too.

We bathed and donned Little Darling with new clothes, put on shoes and cap and went to grandparents’ house to pray to ancestors. Mummy also did not know which dialect’s custom it was but just follow what Ah Mah told us to, we put eight items on the table to let Little Darling pick. It is believed that this foretell what his calling would be! Half out of fun we did it! Mummy had thought that Little Darling would definitely pick food since he likes to eat so much! Hahahahaha…. Surprisingly that he picked abacas!!! What this would mean? Mummy did not know! Would check with Ah Mah tonight! :-)

We came back home for the lunch reception. Little Darling was excited seeing so many people at home; he played wild with his friends the whole afternoon! Mummy had to make an exception for him for not taking nap in the afternoon.

In the late afternoon, on the way sending grandpa and grandma home, Little Darling kept yawning and suddenly he nodded his head like fishing and fell asleep there and then in the car…. Hahahahaha….He must be super tired!

Little Darling Had A Great Fall

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall! Humpty Dumpty had a great fall……… Just now our Little Darling sat on the edge of bed and had a great fall! Sob… sob… sob….

In the past when Little Darling woke up and saw we were not on our bed, many of the times he would crawl to the edge of bed and cry, then we would quickly rushing to him. Daddy and mummy had been telling and showing him do not sit at the edge of the bed after woke up or he will fall. Seemed like he did not understand what we said! Sigh! He did the same just now and fell from his bed! I put mattress on the floor but his right side of forehead still hit on the floor and got bruise.

I was heartache and worried, felt like to cry together with him when he keep saying ‘pain pain, pong, pain pain….’ I think his threshold of pain is pretty high, he smiled again five minutes later!

Daddy was heart pain also when I told him about this incident when he reached home. He was thinking if there is any solution to prevent this from happens again. And finally he decided to keep our beds frames away and place our mattress on the floor like tatami!

2nd Two Pearlie Whites Sprouting Out

I have been waiting for long to see Little Darling’s next pearlie white to sprout out! He got his first two when he was 9 months plus and the process seemed like stagnant after that. Last week noticed that there were two white markers on the top gum… So happy that this morning I saw two pearlie whites are sprouting out! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Little Darling has four little pearlie whites now! I can’t wait wanted to let him try yummy solid food!

Mummy Took Half Day Off

It must have been due to the tiring day yesterday, Little Darling was sound asleep throughout the night without waking up to ask for milk. He woke up late as well this morning.

After Little Darling’s bath, we left at 10am for our PD appointment for his 3rd pneumo-cocal jab. He is such a brave baby because he only wailed less than 10 seconds when the needle was poked onto his thigh!

To praise his brave and compensate him for the pain, we brought him to Botanic Garden for a short stroll. He enjoyed himself very much and surprisingly, today he did not complain sitting on the stroller! We did not stay long at the Botanic Garden as mummy took ‘time off’ in the afternoon to meet up with her friends!

Daddy slept early tonight, the reason? Hahaha….. must be the result of looking after the little rascal this afternoon lah!

Our Trip to Sentosa

Today is Friday, daddy took leave from work, we decided to bring Little Darling to Sentosa as he has not been there.

It was raining cats and dogs at our house here. We hatched a wet-weather plan. We would bring him to Vivocity if it rained there when we were at Harbour Front. Thank goodness, the weather was fine at southern part of Singapore. So many years we have not been to Sentosa! We were very excited when reached at the Sentosa gateway!

After parking our car at Beach carpark, we proceeded to ride on a tram for a short tour on this charming island.

We alighted at Pahlawan Beach first. We wanted to let Little Darling play at the beach. He was so happy when we put him down to walk (with our assistance), for few seconds only. He then started to shout and wanted daddy to carry him. He cried when we try to get him to play with sand again. He is simply too pampered, we reckoned that it must be that his two little feet was painful when walking bare on sand. The weather changed so fast, suddenly rain drops began to fall. We took the tram back to Underwater World station. Since it was still drizzling, we took our lunch at Delifrance and let Little Darling drink milk before moving on.

After lunch, we bought tickets to enter the Dolphin Lagoon and Underwater World. It was so crowded at the Dolphin Lagoon, many people were waiting to watch the performance. Little Darling was a bit cranky as that was his nap time and the place was slightly stuffy. During the show he was fine and continued to watch the dolphins’ performance.

It was about 4.30pm when we reached Underwater World, Little Darling was so excited seeing fishes swimming in the tanks. He seemed to have forgotten about his nap, he pointed at the fishes and mumbling a lot. He clapped hands, trashed his legs about, etc on seeing fishes swimming. But he was taken aback by the big fishes initially. After we consoled him and told him that was ok to touch fish tanks, he started to enjoy himself again. We rode the conveyer belt around the big fish tank a few times to let him admire those sea creatures till he was hungry and grumpy and our limbs were numb from carrying him.

We left Underwater World at about 6pm and proceeded to The Merlion for few shots before heading home. Little Darling was taken in awe by the giant Merlion. On the way home, Little Darling fell flat asleep in the car. The grown ups were also very tired because we took turns carrying him the entire journey (he usually refuses to sit on stroller). But we were very happy to spend a fruitful and fun filled day together with our precious Little Darling!
