Counting 1 to 10

Funny way of counting!

Proper way of counting!

This morning heard Little Darling counting one to ten for the very first time when he was playing with his bear firends in his play yard! Yes, from one to ten without leftout any of the numbers! Though some of the numbers like six and seven he could not pronounce properly but he mentioned these two numbers too!

He could count in English, Chinese, German and Malay! ! :-) Never expect that he can speak them out so soon! Usually I would say them out when I swing him to take his afternoon nap and before he sleeps at night! And he had absorbed it without us noticed it at first!

21 Months Old Toddler

Time flies! Little Darling is a 21 months old toddler now!

I noticed that he picked up things very fast! More and more vocabulary he can master but he has some problem pronouncing ‘s’ and ‘f’ clearly. He can now remember about 30 pairs of opposites and recognize shapes and colours and he managed to speak out some of them! He can recognised and read out alphabets 'o', 'p', and 'v' too! :-)

He started to have the concept of home about two weeks ago. He would often say ‘Daddy, mummy, ling ling, home!’ But sometimes would leave out ‘ling ling’ which is himself! Outside he would keep saying ‘Home, home!’ to mean that he wants to go home if we are at places he does not like it. When we approach the petrol kiosk just outside our estate, he would say home and gesturing his hand to turn left to the small road leading towards our house! Besides this, he also can recognize the way to my in-laws’ and my mum’s house! Surprisingly he can also recognize directions! :-)

This 21 months old toddler likes to stick to mummy very much! He can nonstop calling mummy for nothing till I threaten to smack his buttock!

Stroll at Japanese Garden

‘Walk! Walk!’ Little Darling kept pestering daddy and mummy for a walk downstairs. Weather was so hot, there were so many people sun tanning at the poolside since morning! I promised to bring him out for a walk after his afternoon nap.

I really couldn’t think of where to go in this kind of hot hot hot weather except a dip in the pool again! But all the pools were so packed. We ended up stopping at Japanese Garden.

This garden is smaller than Chinese Garden but the environment was pretty cosy and breezy. Many people were strolling and jogging there. Some were chatting under the trees, at the pavilions and on the grass field. Little Darling was running about and chasing daddy merrily on the jogging trail.

We spent so much time in the garden till we had no time to go to Chinese Garden which is just next to it. We just let Little Darling stopped a short while at the Adventurous Playground outside the Japanese Garden. He was daring enough to try climbing up the netting and crossing swing bridge! But it’s time for his dinner, so we had to drag him back to car!

A Lazy Weekend Afternoon

The passionate Mr Sun is working hard recently! Everyday temperature has hit 34deg C and above. The weather is sweltering hot and that has made people lethargic and sleepy. Mummy is still having sore throat so we did not feel like going out any place except hiding in airconditional room.

Little Darling was making noise at home, guessed he was too bored to stay home. We decided to let him take a dip at our baby pool. There were so many kids playing in the pool. A group of Korean kids tried to mingle with Little Darling but they left him alone very fast as Little Darling showed no interest to mix around but playing and splashing water only!

It was really a good time to soak ourself in the water. Everyone was playing wild and joyful.

Opposition Party!

Our Little Darling is a well known stubborn and naughty baby! Recently he has become the opposition party to mummy. Whatever I tell him he would answer ‘no no’….. he sounds so confident and firm as if he knows everything and he really want to do it his way! What a disobedient baby!

Mothers Day

Little Darling’s school gave all mothers a nice bouquet after our lesson on Thursday. He liked the flowers very much; non-stop he said ‘flower, flower, flower!’ and he really hugged it tight in his little fat arms! On and off he would shout ‘dad dad! Flower…’ to mean that he wanted daddy to buy one! J He would say ‘dad dad….. and point out to the door when he asks daddy to buy him things he likes!

I spoilt our Mother’s Day schedule ‘to bring Little Darling visit to Peranakan Museum’ by my having very bad cough and sore throat, whole body aching and a need to rest badly! We saved the cake and our seafood dinner for some other day as I could not eat all these stuffs now! But I received a GREAT present from our Little Darling………….. ie: KISS! KISS! KISS! :) fly kiss only as I have cough! Little Darling must have missed mummy’s kisses very much, he has been asking for mummy to kiss him these few days but I could only offer to kiss him on his forehead and not allow him to kiss me! :-)

Mothers Day Family Gathering

We went celebrate Mothers’ day in advance on 03 May 2008 (Saturday night)! Gathered all my sisters’ families (except my 4th sister) and we dined together. This was the 1st time since after Lunar New Year! It is so difficult to get all to sit down together…. How busy is everybody! The foods are of course not, it is the thoughts and feelings the raison d’etre to have this kind of gathering!

See, all the kids were enjoying themselves very much! Again our Little Darling was the noisiest of all! He could not sit tight. He kept throwing the utensils down the table and asking daddy or mummy to carry him! He purposely called his cousins (gor gor) as ‘babi’ to have fun, then he sat there hahahahahha laughed out loud!
The room was fulled with laughter!
