Mummy Locked Out In The Balcony/Darling In The House

I was watering the plants at the balcony and let Little Darling flipped his books at the living room after his dinner this evening. Who knows this ‘kaypoh’ baby wanted to join in watering the plants. I told him to sit aside to watch and not to disturb mummy. He simply couldn’t sit tight and started to slide the glass door-panes open and closed. He totally ignored my warning that he might lock himself in and cry till daddy came home from work if the door-panes accidentally got latched.

‘Cluck!’ Oh no! He latched the door! I was panic but I had to act cool! I told him to push the latch up to release it! He smiled sweetly and simply kept saying mummy mummy….. My goodness! Not knowing that he got into trouble, our Little Darling still was playing peek-a-boo with me! I kept asking him to push the latch up………At long last, luckily he managed to push it up after few tries! My Darling really gave me a big big fright! Phew! I think I will have to search the glass door key out and keep in my pocket whenever I am at the balcony. In the meantime, I will have to teach him how to latch/unlatch the door, just in case this happens again!

Z is Zebra, Z is Zoo

Aunty Candy has free tickets to go zoo and invited us to join them. Little Darling was delighted on hearing ‘go zoo’! Immediately he linked zoo to lion, zebra, tiger, bear, cheetah, elephants etc! :-)

Weather was so hot and so many people in the zoo. Many animals were either hiding or napping in bushes and under trees!

We spent about five and half hours in the zoo which got us to about 85% of the animals. Kids enjoyed very much but parents were tired carrying them around! I lied flat when reached home! Mummy exhausted!

Aunty Angela's Wedding

We missed going to Aunty Samantha’s church wedding, so this was the first time Little Darling attended a church wedding! I was so worried that he would make too much noise during the ceremony!

I prepared many titbits, hopefully to keep his mouth shut! But he finished all the titbits before the ceremony started! Headache!!!!!

He was ‘zi zi char char’ nonstop talking when people were praying. The ceremony was full of glitches with laughter! Aunty Angela forgot to put down her wedding veil! All laughed out loud when the pastor asked her to put it down! The groom lifted up the veil immediately after his vow without waiting for the pastor telling him so! Even louder we laughed when the pastor told him that he acted too fast (in lifting up the veil)! Aunty Angela was too excited that she forgot her pledge and need help from the groom and the solemniser at that! All were amused and laughing non-stop……….. Our Little Darling laughed loudly too when people laughed but I guessed he did not know the reason! Half way of the ceremony, he wanted to walk walk! He started to scream when we did not let him walk. The louder he shouted the more we had to pacify, to ask him to keep silent! At last, we had no choice but I have to bring him out of the ceremony hall! Sigh!

He has no interested on food and drinks but he keep asking to go to the neighbour house to see two big fat cats! Sigh! End up we have to leave the church earlier without having time to chat with friends.

New Tricycle

Daddy wanted to get another new toy car for Little Darling. We asked if he wanted car or motocycle. The Little One pointed to my niece tricycle and said he wanted a bike!!! He wanted a tricycle! Good! Tricycle is so much cheaper than toy car! :-) Moreover, only Ah Mah has a big car porch for toy car to move around. Mummy would have problem to bring toy car and Little Darling to play at downstairs.

The model we picked was one equipped with a handle to push like stroller and a removable safety bar at the seat. Little Darling still does not to peddle, so it saved us a lot of trouble to push him using the handle! :-)

A Playful Saturday Afternoon

We planned to put Little Darling to a childcare center so that he could mingle around with other kids and enjoyed life in a group and of course learn to be independent. But we have not decided whether a half day or full day class for him. Currently we would visit some centers as and when we have the time during the center opening hours.

We went one in town this morning. It was raining heavily when we left the center and we really had no idea where to go next in such a wet day! In the end, mummy suggested bringing Little Darling to Globetrotters where he could enjoy some indoor games and mix with other kids while daddy and mummy were having lunch.

It is clear that little Darling enjoyed very much all the toys and facilities there while Daddy and mummy enjoyed the Alaska crab pasta for lunch too!
