Our Trip to Sentosa

Today is Friday, daddy took leave from work, we decided to bring Little Darling to Sentosa as he has not been there.

It was raining cats and dogs at our house here. We hatched a wet-weather plan. We would bring him to Vivocity if it rained there when we were at Harbour Front. Thank goodness, the weather was fine at southern part of Singapore. So many years we have not been to Sentosa! We were very excited when reached at the Sentosa gateway!

After parking our car at Beach carpark, we proceeded to ride on a tram for a short tour on this charming island.

We alighted at Pahlawan Beach first. We wanted to let Little Darling play at the beach. He was so happy when we put him down to walk (with our assistance), for few seconds only. He then started to shout and wanted daddy to carry him. He cried when we try to get him to play with sand again. He is simply too pampered, we reckoned that it must be that his two little feet was painful when walking bare on sand. The weather changed so fast, suddenly rain drops began to fall. We took the tram back to Underwater World station. Since it was still drizzling, we took our lunch at Delifrance and let Little Darling drink milk before moving on.

After lunch, we bought tickets to enter the Dolphin Lagoon and Underwater World. It was so crowded at the Dolphin Lagoon, many people were waiting to watch the performance. Little Darling was a bit cranky as that was his nap time and the place was slightly stuffy. During the show he was fine and continued to watch the dolphins’ performance.

It was about 4.30pm when we reached Underwater World, Little Darling was so excited seeing fishes swimming in the tanks. He seemed to have forgotten about his nap, he pointed at the fishes and mumbling a lot. He clapped hands, trashed his legs about, etc on seeing fishes swimming. But he was taken aback by the big fishes initially. After we consoled him and told him that was ok to touch fish tanks, he started to enjoy himself again. We rode the conveyer belt around the big fish tank a few times to let him admire those sea creatures till he was hungry and grumpy and our limbs were numb from carrying him.

We left Underwater World at about 6pm and proceeded to The Merlion for few shots before heading home. Little Darling was taken in awe by the giant Merlion. On the way home, Little Darling fell flat asleep in the car. The grown ups were also very tired because we took turns carrying him the entire journey (he usually refuses to sit on stroller). But we were very happy to spend a fruitful and fun filled day together with our precious Little Darling!
