Studio Photo Shooting

I have been thinking for some time of having our family photo shoot done by skillful professional! Thanks to Joanne’s help, I get to know about this studio. I signed up the package without a second thought.

We had to wake up early today as our session was scheduled early in the morning. Little Darling seemed quite happy on the way to the studio and I hoped he could maintain his good mood throughout the photo shooting session.

We decided to park our car at the PUB building at Somerset Road and walk from there to The Studio Loft at Devonshire Road. We lugged along a suitcase inside which it was packed with Little Darling’s clothes and some props for the photo shoot like the antique telephone, a small plush toy Winnie the Pooh, apples and a balloon.
Little Darling was enjoying himself during the first 10 minutes of shooting, he played, laughed, shouted and yelled! Photographer Maryann kept praising him " very cute, very energetic, very natural…". We also enjoyed ourselves very much taking family portraits with him!

However things changed when it came to the angel outfit. As expected he did not like the angel wings tied on his arms. He started to feel irritated and become grouchy! He frowned, wanted to be carried, and cried. He was in no mood to continue with the shooting and pestering mummy to carry him. No matter how we tried to please him, tempted him with toys, ball, balloons etc, he refused to face the camera and tears started to roll down his chubby cheeks. We could only try conforting him, take a few quick shots, comforting him again. Alas, no matter how hard we tried, we could not take the sulk from his face! Daddy and mummy-the two clowns- were dog-tired too! Maryann decided to stop after taking few shots of his crying face!

Little Darling turned happy again when the shooting session ended! He completely switched to another mode of expression! Sigh! What a character this baby is!
