Walk Walk At Chinese Garden

We brought Little Darling for a ‘walk walk’ at Chinese garden in the late morning. The cloudy sky turned sunny soon after we arrived in the garden.

The first stop was ‘The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum’. There were many different species of turtles and tortoises. He was ‘scared, scared’ over the alligator turtles and later an ‘unexpected visitor’ – a monitor lizard that was. The highlight of this visit was the giant African land tortoise feeding time – despite its size it was so tame that it could be hand-fed a cucumber! Little Darling enjoyed it so much that after about 2 hours there Little Darling still refused to leave, we had to literally drag him away. We then proceeded to the Bonsai Garden and after that the Ixora Garden.

We also visited the statues of the famous ancient Chinese characters like Confucius, Yuefei & Hua Mulan etc. This little one then insisted on going to the Garden of Abundance to see the twelve Chinese Zodiacs - rabbit, pig, tiger, ox, dragon and so on. Mummy though of not going to this place as it was too hot! But Little Darling kept nagging and nagging ‘rabbit, tiger, mouse ……..’ Mummy surrendered! On the way, there was shady grass patch, where he ran and ran and ran and fell! Luckily that was a grass field or else he would hurt his knees!
